I bought these knowing they would be hit or miss, but I really was hoping they would work like advertised. The buds themselves are a comfortable fit, and the form-fitting is an ambitious idea, but it didn’t work on both my ears. My right ear is bigger than my left, and it was still a loose fit in my right ear. It made gaming uncomfortable because I was hearing two different things in either ear due to the lack of a proper seal in my right ear. The sound quality is lackluster for the price, but I guess they put more resources into the UV reactive plastic than actual good drivers. The whole switching from your phone to your PC is a neat idea, but the time it takes to get it to work is not worth it. I’d rather just have two sets of headphones. The touch controls are abysmal, but they let you customize it. I didn’t mess with it, seeing as I couldn’t get the touch controls to register my touches half the time.
Listening to music just at work was an OK experience. Touch controls not working made it uncomfortable, but I could listen to music and whatever else on my phone just fine.
I really want a product like this without the ear-forming gimmick. At this price point, with better touch controls, sound quality, and fewer connectivity issues, a product like that would be a serious competitor. A shame it seems most of their budget went to the gimmick. I’m in the process of returning these now and getting a new set of other buds for my phone.
TLDR: Ambitious product, but messy execution. If you’re looking for something just for your phone, it’s far from the best option.
These things are a gigantic pain. I’ve now had three sets, with a fourth on the way. I really want them to work because I really want a replacement for headphones at my PC for gaming and the like, and the lightspeed tech is amazing. I also adore Logitech for all my peripherals. I’m typing this on a Logitech keyboard right now. But with these, every time, there’s some issue with the pairing or molding (to the shape of your ears) that renders them unusable. THEY ARE INCREDIBLY FINICKY to get running.
As soon as you open these things, the eartips start to harden. You have a very limited time (IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF YOU WERE TOLD EXACTLY HOW MUCH TIME, BUT NOOOOOOO) to complete the pairing and molding process. Unfortunately, every time I’ve tried, something has gone disastrously wrong.
Attempt #1: I open them and get to work. I try pairing them, but no dice. They show up on the Bluetooth menu but keep unpairing. Turns out, you need to put the case into pairing mode. THE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT TELL YOU TO DO THIS. I assumed pairing mode was on by default or was turned on by the accompanying app. After I finally got it to work, the sound quality was crap because (I think) I had taken too long before starting the molding.
Attempt #2: Everything seemed good until I had finished molding. Sound quality seemed okay, but when I spoke with the earphones in (like on a call on my phone), my voice was super loud and buzzy in only my right ear, so I figured I had messed up the molding.
Attempt #3 (just a moment ago): re-run of #1. I had forgotten to scrub the previous set fully off my phone, so when I went to pair, I clicked on the previous paired version, not the new unpaired set. This threw the whole system completely for a loop, and I had to reboot my phone, all the while the tips are hardening. I managed not to repeat the buzzy voice problem, but I had the same problem as the first time, and sound quality was crap.
That’s the biggest mystery for me here: is the sound quality good or “crap”? And the real clincher is that the fixes are these: to figure out the exact amount of time you have to get them in your ears, and to maybe have a way to reset everything to square-one. Because otherwise it’s just a tremendous game of chance, and that shouldn’t be the core gameplay of a product that costs so much money.
Despite these negative reviews, the Logitech G FITS True Wireless Gaming Earbuds are still an interesting product to consider. While some customers have experienced difficulties with the fit, sound quality, and connectivity, it’s important to note that everyone’s ears are different, and what doesn’t work for one person might work perfectly for another.
One of the key features of these earbuds is the innovative form-fitting design. When properly molded to the shape of your ears, they should provide a secure and comfortable fit. However, as mentioned in the reviews, this process can be a bit finicky and may require some trial and error to get it right.
In terms of sound quality, some reviewers have found it lackluster for the price. While it’s disappointing to hear that the sound does not meet expectations, it’s worth noting that sound preferences can be highly subjective. What sounds lackluster to one person may sound perfectly fine to another.
The ability to seamlessly switch between your phone and PC is a fantastic feature, especially for gamers who want to easily transition their audio from one device to another. However, it seems that the execution of this feature may need some improvement, as customers have reported difficulties with the pairing process and the time it takes to get it to work.
A standout criticism mentioned in the reviews is the abysmal touch controls. While they are customizable, many users have found them to be unresponsive or unreliable. This can be frustrating, especially when trying to control your audio playback or adjust the volume on the go.
Despite these shortcomings, the Logitech G FITS True Wireless Gaming Earbuds have potential. The form-fitting design, when properly molded, has the potential to provide a secure and comfortable fit for long gaming sessions. Additionally, the lightspeed technology from Logitech ensures minimal lag and a seamless gaming experience.
If you’re looking for a product primarily for your phone, it might be worth exploring other options that are more specifically designed for phone use. However, if you’re a gamer in search of a wireless audio solution for both your phone and PC, the Logitech G FITS True Wireless Gaming Earbuds could be a viable option to consider.
Ultimately, it’s essential to consider your own preferences and needs when making a purchasing decision. While these earbuds may not be perfect, they still offer some unique features and capabilities that might make them the right fit for you.
