Believe it’s been this price for a while and general consensus is this brand and model suck balls

FWIW, I’ve had a 60" 1080p RCA in the bedroom for a couple years and no complaints. It’s not a great TV, but adequate for the price.

That said, I believe this TV has no smart features, so for a couple bucks more there are better options from more respected brands.

My deal alert popped up and I thought it was a notification saying I had a TV shipped from Walmart. Seems like a solid deal, can’t believe decent 65" 4k TVs can be had for this price now.

You can’t really compare RCA products to RCA products. RCA as a manufacturer doesn’t exist any more; they just license their name to anyone who’ll pay them. And judging by some of the stuff I’ve seen with the RCA logo on them in recent years, the holding company doesn’t seem to have very high standards for their licensees.

      My thoughts exactly.
Anything RCA should never be considered IMO.

I bought a RCA 65" from Sams Club about 3 years ago and it started having issues turning on after about 18 months. I could unplug it, wait a minute or so, plug it back in, and then it would turn on. Over time it started getting more and more difficult to turn on so I decided to see about getting it repaired. I spent nearly $200 at 2 different shops for the same answer, there are no parts available to repair these RCA tvs. One of the guys told me he could probably get the part from ebay or get the part that I needed (mainboard) repaired but the cost was going to not be worth the expense. The picture on this tv was not very good even after tweaking it and installing firmware updates. I’ll never own another RCA tv after that experience.

I had a clients 50" go bad at 6 months. He had to pay shipping to Michigan at which point they grab it and take it to Canada to repair, then back to Michigan and send to you. You will pay shipping to get it there, however, they will pay shipping back. This is for the typical 1 year warranty. If you opt for the Walmart add on warranty, they will take care of it all. Just an FYI

Can we expect better pricing on a 65" during Black Friday or this is my best bet? I have a 50" Insignia 1080p in the bedroom but I would like to upgrade to 4K 55 or 65 inch.

RCA seriously? Why spend money on a crappy tv?

    12. Marisa said on October 27, 2018 8:28 pm:

You may not see a lower price, but almost certainly there will be better name brand, better spec TVs (with smart functionality) for about the same price.
